A Sendtric alternative for your email countdown timers

In short

Sendtric fits if you want more than a countdown: polls, weather forecasts and personalized images, an API with a Beefree plugin, and Apple Mail options. Kauntodaun fits better if you want to copy the code with no signup, 25,000 free unbranded impressions per timer, and per-recipient evergreen timers from $7 a month. Data checked October 1, 2026.

The Kauntodaun team wrote this page, so we'd like you to pick us. That's why every Sendtric figure comes from its own pricing page, read on October 1, 2026, and there's a whole section on what Sendtric does better than we do.

    How to move from Sendtric to Kauntodaun

    1. Make a list. Note the scheduled campaigns and flows that use a Sendtric timer. Emails that already went out can't be changed.

    2. Recreate the timer. For a fixed date, use the same date and time zone. For a "Start on open" or "unique user" timer, create an evergreen timer with the same duration. Copy the design and the expired message too.

    3. Copy the code. The HTML tab is for an HTML block; the URL tab, for an image block.

    4. Swap the image. In each email, find the <img> tag whose src points to Sendtric and put in the Kauntodaun URL, or replace the whole block with our HTML. In a flow, repeat it for every email.

    5. Add your ESP's merge tag if you want a deadline per person (Starter plan):

      • Klaviyo: ?rid={{ person.KlaviyoID }}
      • Mailchimp: ?rid=*|UNIQID|*
      • HubSpot: ?rid={{ contact.hs_object_id }} (its docs don't say whether it's replaced inside the HTML module; test it)
      • Brevo: ?rid={{ contact.EMAIL }}
      • Mailjet: ?rid={{mj:contact.ID}}
      • ActiveCampaign: ?rid=%SUBSCRIBERID%

      Other platforms are on the evergreen countdown timer page.

    6. Test before sending. In your ESP's preview the merge tag usually arrives unreplaced; the engine ignores it and you'll see the full duration. Send yourself a test email, open it, wait a few minutes and open it again. With a per-person deadline, the second open should show less time.

    7. Don't close Sendtric yet. Emails already sent keep loading the GIF from Sendtric. Keep the account until those timers expire. On its free plan, if those emails go over 10,000 views in a month, its watermark appears.

    Step-by-step instructions for each platform are in our Klaviyo, Mailchimp and HubSpot guides.

    How we checked

    We read Sendtric's pricing page, API page and integrations page on October 1, 2026. We didn't create a Sendtric account or test its timers from the inside: each row reflects what Sendtric publishes. Kauntodaun's figures come from our plan and engine documentation.

    We review this page every three months. To see Sendtric next to six other tools, read our comparison of free email countdown timers.

    Common questions

    Is Kauntodaun free like Sendtric?

    Both have a free plan, with different limits. Sendtric gives 10,000 views a month per account and adds its watermark above that. Kauntodaun gives 25,000 impressions a month per timer with no account, and above that adds a small line of text under the countdown.

    Will emails I already sent with Sendtric stop working if I switch?

    No. Those emails load the image from Sendtric's servers and can't be edited. As long as your Sendtric account stays active, they keep working under its rules; on the free plan, with a watermark if the month goes over 10,000 views.

    What replaces Sendtric's Start on open timers in Kauntodaun?

    The evergreen timer. On the free plan it counts from each open. To lock each person's deadline at their first open, you add ?rid= with your ESP's merge tag to the URL, which is a Starter plan feature.

    Does Kauntodaun have polls or weather images?

    No. We only make countdown GIFs. If you need polls, weather forecasts or personalized images in the same dashboard, Sendtric has them and we don't.

    Is there an API or a Beefree plugin?

    We have no public API and no plugin. A customer API is part of the Business plan, which we sell case by case. Sendtric has an API plan from $149 a month with a Beefree plugin and white labeling.

    What happens in Apple Mail?

    Apple downloads email images in the background, so any countdown can show a time that isn't the reading time. Sendtric can hide the timer in Apple Mail from Micro and swap in a fallback GIF on Power. Kauntodaun has no such option, so write the deadline in the text too.
