Who makes Kauntodaun
Kauntodaun is the email countdown timer generator at kauntodaun.com. It is made by AP Agency, an agency based in Barcelona.
What Kauntodaun is
A tool to create countdown GIFs that you paste into any email platform. The GIF is rendered on the server every time someone opens the email, so the time shown is the real one.
It started in March 2026 as a free generator with no signup. Since then it has served more than 1.4 million GIFs (as of October 1, 2026, counted by the engine itself). It is now called Kauntodaun and adds accounts, per-recipient evergreen timers and paid plans, without taking away what was already free.
The name is カウントダウン, Japanese for "countdown", spelled the way it is pronounced: "KOWN-toh-down". Say it out loud and it sounds like countdown.
Who is behind it
Kauntodaun is a product by AP Agency, based in Barcelona. Its team builds and runs it; the product lead is Aitor Domínguez i Yanes.
How we work
- The usage numbers we publish come from the engine itself and carry a date.
- Platform guides are written by testing each editor with a real account, and the test date appears in the guide.
- What is free today (creating timers with no signup and no watermark) stays free.
The product's key facts, for quoting or comparing, are on the Kauntodaun facts page.
