1. What Kauntodaun is and who provides it

Kauntodaun is a service to create animated countdown GIFs for emails. It is provided by Aitor Domínguez i Yanes (AP AGENCY®), tax ID 41014952H, based in Barcelona (Spain), contact a.dominguez@theapagency.com. Full details are in the legal notice. Using the service means you accept these terms.

2. Use without an account

The generator is free and needs no signup. Each timer created this way has its own URL and an edit key stored in your browser. If you lose the key (for example, by clearing browser data), the timer keeps working but you can no longer edit it or move it to an account.

A timer created without an account shows no branding up to 25,000 impressions a month; on a free account, until its timers add up to more than 50,000 in the month. Above those figures, a small line with the service name appears under the digits. On paid plans it never appears.

3. Accounts

You need a valid email to create an account. You are responsible for what happens in your account and for keeping your password secret. Each seat is for one named person and may not be shared.

4. Plans, prices and payment

• Starter: $7 a month or $70 a year, with 200,000 impressions a month.
• Pro: $22 a month or $220 a year, with 1,000,000 impressions a month.
• Business: price and terms by contract.

Prices in US dollars exclude applicable taxes. On the Spanish version of the site prices are shown in euros, before VAT. Payment is in advance, by card through Stripe, and the subscription renews at the end of each period until you cancel it.

The first 100 paying customers get 50% off their plan price for life.

5. Impressions and overage

An impression is each download of a timer's GIF. A paid timer is never cut off or branded for going over the plan limit: we let you know and bill the extra at $2.50 per 100,000 impressions on Starter and $1.80 on Pro.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use the service for unlawful or misleading content, content that infringes others' rights, or spam. You may not try to overload the engine, get around usage limits or access other users' data. We may suspend timers or accounts that break these rules.

7. Availability

We work to keep the service available at all times, but we do not guarantee a specific uptime except on the Business plan, if agreed by contract. We may run maintenance windows and will announce them when possible.

8. Content and data

The texts and setup of your timers are yours. You allow us to use them only to render and serve the GIFs. For your recipients' data we act as a data processor, as described in the privacy policy. If you need a signed data processing agreement, write to us.

9. Cancellation

You can cancel your plan at any time from the billing portal; you keep the plan until the end of the paid period. After that, your timers keep working under the Free plan rules and emails you already sent never break. Branding only appears if the account goes over 50,000 impressions in the month.

10. Liability

We provide the service with reasonable care. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that gives rise to it. We are not liable for the results of your campaigns or for indirect damages.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we will email you in advance. Using the service after the change means you accept it.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. The courts of Barcelona have jurisdiction, unless the law gives consumers a different venue.
